Past Congresses

In 2003, in collaboration with the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, the Applied Linguistics Association of Montenegro and the Applied Linguistics Association of Vojvodina, Applied Linguistics Association of Serbia (ALAS) organized the First Congress Applied Linguistics Today in Herceg Novi (25-28 September). In 2006, in collaboration with the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade and the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, it hosted the Second International Congress Applied Linguistics Today at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade (28-30 September), while the Third International Congress Applied Linguistics Today - Between Theory and Practice was held at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad (29-30 November and 1 December 2009). The following international congresses Applied Linguistics Today were held in the subsequent period: Challenges of Modern Times (Faculty of Philology in Belgrade, 12-14 October 2012), New Tendencies in Theory and Practice (Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, 27-29 November 2015), Language, Literature and Interdisciplinarity (Faculty of Philology in Belgrade, 12-13 October 2018) and Contemporary Theory and Practice (Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, 28 May 2022).
